1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the yoru mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
yoru is a sleep aid application available on iOS and Android that helps users fall asleep through a variety of tools and content, including:
- Guided breathing and relaxation exercises
- A library of calming audio tracks, white noise, and ambient sounds
- Bedtime stories designed to promote sleep
- Cognitive and mindfulness-based sleep techniques
- Sleep rescue tools for when you can't fall asleep
yoru is designed as a wellness tool and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the App, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate and up-to-date information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
yoru offers premium content through subscription plans:
- Monthly Plan: $5.99 per month
- Yearly Plan: $39.99 per year
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Payment Processing
All subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, managed via RevenueCat. yoru does not directly process or store your payment information. Billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective terms and policies.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play Store subscription settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium content until the end of your current billing period.
5. User Conduct
When using yoru, you agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls or subscription requirements
- Distribute, reproduce, or share premium content from the App
- Use automated systems or bots to access the App
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App or its infrastructure
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or personal data
6. Intellectual Property
All content available through yoru, including but not limited to audio tracks, bedtime stories, guided exercises, illustrations, animations, text, and software code, is the property of yoru or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content in the App.
7. Disclaimers
yoru is not medical advice. The App is intended for general wellness purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting any new sleep program or if you have concerns about a sleep disorder or medical condition.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, yoru and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the App exceed the amount you have paid to yoru in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen. Upon account deletion:
- Your personal data (email, hashed password, usage history, preferences) will be permanently removed from our systems
- Your active subscription will not be automatically cancelled; you must cancel it separately through the App Store or Google Play Store
- Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
- This action is irreversible
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Requests by law enforcement or other government agencies
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised version within the App or on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should discontinue your use of the App.
